The Team Arvind Kejriwal faces odds every day ,but no question of yielding

For the Arvind Kejriwal Government, ever since its ascendency to power in the Quasi state of Dellhi in India, almost every day is an odd day .ostensibly oblivious of odds dogging him and his colleagues, The Chief Minister sticks to his gun and appears in war fatigues with his team of virtual commandoes, Ministers, party colleagues and his loyal workers.

The Team Kejriwal buoyed by the success of the most controversial of Car rationing formula in the city of Babus is toying  with the idea of extending the odd and even formula beyond Jan 15 and the intentions were made it clear in the  Delhi High court, which has reserved its order on the issue till Monday.
The government showed air health reports in the court and said that the air quality has improved ever since the formula was implemented in the city to combat air pollution on Trial basis for a fortnight.

The Court had asked whether  the rationing could be limited to seven days only to assess the impact. A number of petitions were moved in the court seeking ban on the policy pleading it has caused inconvenience.

The Government said people were cooperating and it has long term solutions too like elevated roads , improvement in public transport etc.It was of the view that the car rationing was the best suitable option to beat smog and air pollution in winter months and it should continue.

Commuters grappling with transportation problems are by and large are happy that the vehicular density on streets has come down and smooth runs are there. Many of them were least concerned about the pollution ,but were elated that traffic jams were going away.

Amid these developments, his government ,in a bold step, ended the management quota in the schools admissions and strong lobbies are now baying for the government’s blood ,saying it is an absurd. The Education Ministery incharge and Deputy Chief Minister Manish  Sisodia has made it clear that there would be no compromise on that. Surprisingly , man on streets  appreciated the step . The Issue is all set to be settled in courts finally.

Today, the State government woke up to a new controversy when his government appointed Judicial commission to probe into the alleged messy affairs of the District and Delhi Cricket Association (DDCA)during the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s regime slipped into a new row with the center’s disapproval of such probe.
Now Kejriwal is battling to justify the probe and tug of war has ensued. He is also facing defamation case filed by Mr Jaitley to bring disrepute to him . Some of his (Kejriwal)colleagues are also dragged to the Patiala court in the case by Jaitley.

With all fronts open, Arvind Kejriwal is also facing a legal case regarding a controversial advertisement where he was asking people to support odd and even formula and his back is visible with his brand of muffler. His crtics say it is violation of norms laid by SC court that CM’s picture should not be there in govt. advertisements.

Unfortunately,The Kejriwal government and The Modi govt .do not see eye to eye,but public eyes are focused on the fight which they feel is nothing but a classic example of growing atmosphere of political Intolerance .The perception is catching up that rather than acting and pursuing agenda they have been mandated for governance, political  advantages and losses weigh heavy in each other’s mind to decide the course of action.
