Ground Reality

The political tactical line of CPM has favoured flexibility in striking poll deals,but it had left little room for state wings to decide at its own such tie-ups. The party leaders are having brain storming sessions in Kolkata during the First organizational Plenum in 37 years for its revival at grass-root level by taking up social and economic issues  even as the West Bengal State Assembly polls are round the corner. CPM leader Sitaram Yechury has made it clear that the party will discuss its poll strategy after the plenum but observers feel that it is caught in a cleft stick of dilemma of cobbling deal with Congress in the wake of stiff opposition from its leaders in Kerala .
