In the world's most populous democracy India ,political turf is getting corrugated with every passing election -may it be for the lower house of Parliament ,State assemblies, Local bodies and any other elected body. The situation has driven politicians to tip toe on the political space as even  minor slippage,on any index which determines electorate mood, quickly mar prospects at hustings.    The 2014 general election paved way for ascendency of Narendra Modi to the coveted slot, but elements whipping up frenzies on communal and religion lines and ever shooting prices of eatables have played havoc unleashing plethora of problems .the price paid by the ruling coalition is colossal. It's credibility is at stake and opponents got ammunition to beat the ruling dispensation at the poll booths. The centre should have been forthright and assertive to tackle .     The cost was heavy in form of its resounding defeat in Bihar. Mr Nitish on whom lot of hopes...

Bihar polls verdict is a Wake up call for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led ruling dispensation at the centre. In 2016, polls are to be held in Kerala,Tamil nadu, Puducherry , West Bengal and Assam and in 2017, UP,Punjab ,Goa,Uttrakhand and Manipur will go to  polls. Recent events  will cast it shadow on coming Parliament session from November 26. After winning almost three fourth majority-178 out of 243 seats in the state assembly polls, the Grand alliance will stitch more such tie ups for mounting pressure on the NDA, which trailed  with meager 57 seats in Bihar. The Verdict has proved beyond an iota of doubt that alliance...

Polls for the 243 member state Assembly, being billed as an acid test for both the Ruling NDA and Opposition in the World’s most populous democracy –known for its frenzied elections- gave verdict in favour of the Mahagathbandhan with 178 seats to it and 58   seats to NDA and nine to others.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi have conveyed greetings to Mr Nitish Kumar.     The UP  local bodies polls where the BJP had not faired  well had given a depressing signal to the Party which had pocketed 70 plus seats out of 80 seats there in Lok Sabha polls -2014.
