                           Cut Throat Political games get underway in India, much to bewilderment of The Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government which was still busy to assess import of the Ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA ) crushing defeat in the Hindi heartland state of Bihar.    Things are changing at a faster pace than anticipated as The Ruling BJP veterans 88 year old LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Yashwant Sinha, former Finance Minister,Former  Union Minister Shanta Kumar virtually raised a banner of revolt and publicly issued a terse statement which said the “consensual character” has been destroyed and no lessons were learnt from the Delhi Assembly poll debacle. Bihar poll bull stormed today China shop sending seismic waves in Delhi Power corridors in more ways than one. Polls for the 243 member state Assembly,being billed as an acid test for both the Ruling NDA and Opposition in the World’s most populous democracy –known for its frenzied elections- gave verdict in favour of the Mahagathbandhan with 178 seats to it and 58   seats to NDA and nine to others.   Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress President Sonia Gandhi have conveyed greetings to Mr Nitish Kumar.     The UP  local bodies polls where the BJP had not faired  well had given a depressing signal to the Party which had pocketed 70 plus seats out of 80 seats there in Lok Sabha polls -2014. It indicates that Days of the Modi magic are tapering out and the party will be desperate now to arrest the trend  in the wake of looming Assembly polls in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu  and West Bengal in 2016 , and UP polls in 2017. ...

OMG ! Bihar electioneering stinks; political turbulence stares post polls scenario

    Never in the past, campaigning  in state assembly polls and General elections in the world’s most populous democracy was so bitter and ugly as it was heard and witnessed in the ongoing Bihar state assembly polls for which third phase voting  was held today.  Now, Two phases of voting are left -fourth phase on Nov 1 and last & Final phase on Nov 5. Results will be out on Nov 8 –three days ahead of  Deepawali festival. Both the sides –National Democratic Alliance and Maha-gathbandhan of the Ruling Janata dal (U) in state ,Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of Former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress launched no holds barred campaign and the mud slinging was at its worst.
