PAD WOMEN FANNED OUT IN A GIRLS' SCHOOL DURING FREE MEDICAL CAMP ORGANISED BY YASHODA SUPERFICIALITY HOSPITAL




As "PAD MAN" movie is spreading awareness about sanitary pads and personal hygiene among women in India, A super specialty hospital in the national capital region today reached out to girls in a non-descript school Loni area and distributed sanitary pads, medicines in a free medical camp pitched there.

The event was organized by the Yashoda hospital to mark the international women day 2018 which has theme press for progress. Hospital authorities said the good health is also one of the main rights of every human being, so the medical camp was pitched by them in the Kasturba Gandhi Girls School,Loni
Doctors distributed free sanitary pads and medicines and highlighted significance of personal hygiene. Doctors organised free medical checkup of students and apprised them of their rights including gender equality rights.

Dr Vidya Ghosh and Dr Ruby Bansal and other members of doctors’ team interacted with students.

(Coincidentally, the camp was organised  amid swirling discussions  on sanitary pads after a recent film PAD MAN .The film is based on the "sanitary man man of Sacred land " a short story from Twinkle Khanna’s book , the Legend of Laxmi Prasad which  inspired from the life of Arunchalam Murgannatham. A Tamil Nadu based on social activist who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkin machine. Pad man was envisioned to be an awareness film without focusing on commercial aspects. The producers' main agenda was to reach out to a wide audience to create awareness and eradicate prevalent superstitions in India surrounding sanitary pads) .
